By forsaking material compensation, I have gained the spiritual compensation of communion with God, of constant bliss and Aum; that is my compensation. God says: I am your compensation.
Throughout this test God was saying: Show me that you want me, prove to me you want me more than material gain. We are tested everyday with material desires and temptations that lead us away from Spirit. God is waiting for us to put these transitory desires aside so He may shower us with the gift of eternal bliss.
Anything that obscures the light of God, that takes our attention away from God, should be renounced by the true devotee. The devotee will be amply repaid by attunement with the source of all prosperity, material and spiritual.
Of all the qualities that enable me to let go the most important is forgiveness, of myself and others. Forgiveness loosens the ego’s grasp allowing the abundance of Spirit to flow.
