Devotion is the love we have for God. When the devotee is on fire with devotion ego knows it’s in big, big trouble. Ego, sensing it’s about to be consumed, pulls out all the stops and fights to put the fire out and gain control. Devotion and surrender are the ego’s greatest foes.
